Haystack 4 Data Modeling Standard Now in Public Review

Richmond, VA - May 6, 2019 - Project Haystack (www.project-haystack.org), a collaborative community addressing the challenge of utilizing semantic modeling and tagging to streamline the interchange of data among different systems, devices, equipment and software applications, today announced today announced that Haystack 4, the next generation of the Project Haystack data modeling standard, is now in public review.

"Understanding the need for semantic modeling of device and equipment data has matured significantly in the last decade and the requirements and techniques for applying semantic modeling to equipment data are advancing rapidly. Haystack 4 builds on the 8 years of experience in applying Haystack across thousands of buildings worldwide, the input from practitioners in the community throughout that time, as well the collaborators that have participated in the activities of Haystack Working Groups," said John Petze, Executive Director of Project Haystack.

Project Haystack Organization Launches New Marketing Website

Richmond, VA - February 28, 2019 - Project Haystack (www.project-haystack.org), a collaborative community addressing the challenge of utilizing semantic modeling and tagging to streamline the interchange of data among different systems, devices, equipment and software applications, today announced the launch of its new marketing website marketing.project-haystack.org. The new site, which went live on February 25th, features a modern and sophisticated design to promote the vast marketing activities driven by the growing Haystack community and focused on promoting the value of smart data and semantic tagging.

To date, the website of the Project Haystack Organization has been solely for the developer community, featuring updates on semantic tagging, forum discussions and activities of the Working Groups.

Project Haystack Announces Haystack Connect 2019 Technical Program Speakers and Presentations

Richmond, VA - February 26, 2019 - Project Haystack (www.project-haystack.org), a 501(c) non-profit organization focused on developing common standards to streamline the interchange and interoperability of data among Internet of Things devices, smart equipment and systems, is pleased to announce technical program speakers and presentations for its 2019 Haystack Connect conference. The fourth biennial Haystack Connect conference and exhibition will take place May 13-15 at Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, California. The conference will provide a unique, open-forum for professionals involved in automation, control and the IoT to learn and share the latest technologies and techniques for connecting systems and utilizing device data in applications including intelligent buildings, energy management, remote monitoring, and other IoT devices and applications.

Project Haystack Organization Publishes Winter 2019 Issue of Connections Magazine

Richmond, VA – January 15, 2019 – The Project Haystack Organization (www.project-haystack.org), a collaborative community addressing the challenge of utilizing semantic modeling and tagging to streamline the interchange of data among different systems, devices, equipment and software applications, today announced the publication of their fifth issue of Haystack Connections Magazine.

The Connections Magazine Winter 2019 issue reports on the latest news from the Project Haystack community from around the world and documents how rapidly the data revolution is overtaking the built environment. Both IT and OT contingents are recognizing that sematic data modeling and metadata tagging is key to clearing the hurdles related to ease-of-use, unified data flow, edge-to-cloud, and data security.
