In celebration, Project Haystack recently announced the dates for Haystack Connect 2021 in May, and today is excited to announce that the 10th Anniversary Connections Magazine is in development and is issuing a Call for Contributed Articles from the community providing Haystack-compatible products and solutions around the world. It is scheduled to be published in April 2021. Connections Magazine, published bi-annually, documents how the Project Haystack community is applying or implementing the Haystack Tagging methodology in the building and facilities management industry. Facility owners, operators, managers and service companies recognize that a standardized approach to semantic data modeling is key to overcoming the hurdles related to effectively using the data produced by the built environment.

Project Haystack will be exhibiting at the Smart Buildings Show in London, October 9-10, 2019.

Smart Buildings Show 2019 promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more stands, conference presentations and visitors than ever before.

Attendance for the 2018 show was up 45 per cent with visitors coming from all over the UK and Europe. John Hatcher, conference director, commented, "We had a great exhibition and conference, with the theatres at full capacity for both days. There is clearly a thirst for knowledge in the smart buildings industry and we will be adding an additional theatre this year."

The Connections Magazine Winter 2019 issue reports on the latest news from the Project Haystack community from around the world and documents how rapidly the data revolution is overtaking the built environment. Both IT and OT contingents are recognizing that sematic data modeling and metadata tagging is key to clearing the hurdles related to ease-of-use, unified data flow, edge-to-cloud, and data security. Not to be missed is the fact that the storytellers in this issue include the end users of the data generated by equipment systems including commissioning experts, smart building consultants, large-portfolio property managers and developers – all of whom are demanding smarter, interoperable solutions, and companies that are responding by providing Haystack-compatible products and solutions.
