Simplifying Data Collection and Analysis Through Haystack

Desigo Optic is built on Haystack 4, which offers a standardized tagging model that helps simplify the data, leading to more powerful results.

Desigo Optic, powered by FIN Framework, provides a highly-efficient building automation solution with enhanced integration across numerous third-party systems. With Project Haystack semantic data models and tagging features, Desigo Optic offers better workflows for integration, creation of graphics, trend analysis and overall building management. Built for small to medium-sized buildings, but scalable to grow with the building and property portfolio’s needs.

For System Integrators, using Desigo Optic can...

  • Open their building automation system to a more robust and scalable platform with no proprietary layers.
  • Increase data standardization leading to more reliable information for better informed decisions.
  • Upgrade their systems to support the latest IoT technologies and system protocols for seamless integration.
  • Empower their end user to take control of the facility from any network-connected mobile device or workstation.

Open Platform

Front-end software built on openly distributed FIN Framework. Engineered and commissioned for Chrome browser. Using HTML 5, responsive to work on any device.

Haystack Tagging

Standarized data using Project Haystack semantic tagging. Templates can be created based on tags that associate graphics, histories and alarms, making it easier to create custom views and full dashboards.

Seamless Integration

nHaystack provides seamless integration with Niagara Framework. Supports major IP protocols including BACnet, Modbus, KNX, SNMP and OPC, and an improved connector framework will make integrating with new protocols easier.

Greater Efficiency

The DB Builder UI provides multiple tree views and drag-and-drop selections for greater engineering efficiency, as well as auto-generated configurations using the import utility and available templates. For large queries, faster performance leads to more responsive graphics.
